Now, for a change of pace. Woodkid and Nils Frahm have combined for the soundtrack of Ellis, a new short film starring Robert De Niro, and it is every bit as beautiful as you would expect.
Composed by Woodkid, performed and co-written by Nils Frahm, Winter Morning I is a truly collaborative effort from two of the most unique and exciting artists out there today. Coming in at over 9 minutes long, this is a track to cherish – Frahm’s typically sparse piano notes grow in confidence as a swell of strings rise over the top in crescendo – and should provide a welcome break from the stresses of reality and the current horrors of British politics.
Ellis, the duo’s mini album, is out on July 8th on Erased Tapes.
