Following on from the release of his EP and sampling masterclass Feel It In My Bones in November (which included one of my favourite tracks of the year, Memphis), London’s Books has released his latest work, Swim.
Books is a guy who definitely doesn’t have the following his talents justify. He seems to be infinitely versatile when it comes to production, and Swim is another demonstration of that.
His tracks Stoned Love and the aforementioned Memphis are essential listening if you want to hear Books at his best.
This time he moves away from his glorious sampling technique to deliver a purely electronic number, gently meandering before developing into a thumping beat that will get ye movin’.
